Start-ups form the core business of nolax AG in Sempach Station. This basically means that at nolax, ideas and visions are sown, allowed to germinate and cultivated into tender little plants until they are ripe for the market and ready to conquer the business world. With its new headquarters – the chemical-technical start-up and think lab nolax House – new benchmarks have been set with regard to flexibility and transparency. For the around 60 employees, an inspiring and future-oriented world of work has been created.
The move into the new building, which is characterised by an open-plan concept, also demanded a considerable amount of creativity from BAUBERGER AG. The 2nd floor where the 5.4 ton laminator was to be placed has a reduced load-bearing capacity. A pre-stressed track system had to be specially designed, constructed and installed. This track system allowed the distance from the building’s wall to the machine’s final location to be bridged without the floor being put under stress. To move the laminator, a thrust train also had to be calculated, constructed and prepared to the measurements of the system. This was installed onto the tracks of the pre-stressed carriers and loaded with the laminator, which could then be conveniently transported to the specially prepared base and placed there.
“We were very thankful to BAUBERGER AG”, says Martin Massmann, responsible project manager of nolax AG. “Without their excellent support from the consulting through to planning and execution, we would not have had the slightest chance of getting our laminator onto the 2nd floor. The BAUBERGER team carried out the work competently and flawlessly; things never became hectic.”
