School trip, but without a backpack
The machine technology / innovation department at Rapperswil University of Applied Sciences (HSR) moved to the new building at Eichweisstrasse 18 in summer 2020. During 3 weeks, over 60 machine tools, injection molding machines, presses and systems and 250 pallets with accessories were moved to the new location. Thanks to meticulous planning with all the institutes and employees involved, the excellent preparatory work and cooperation during the move, the ambitious schedule could be adhered to.
Most of the machines on the campus were deployed from the 2nd floor using a work platform and crane vehicle.
Since there was very little space on campus, an outdoor tent was used as buffer space for pallets and accessories.
The introduction into the new building carried out using mobile crane systems via a floor opening in the basement.
Chris Wiederkehr; Deputy head of building management and relocation manager within HSR:
“The planning and organization with BAUBERGER worked perfectly. Specialties were examined in advance so that there were no unpleasant surprises during the move. The move started on schedule and ended successfully and as scheduled. At this point we would particularly like to mention the great flexibility of the great moving team. Friendly, helpful and prepared at all times. BAUBERGER’s professionalism was reflected throughout the entire relocation phase. Coordination and execution went clean, flawless and to the fullest satisfaction.”
