Over 50 truckloads for Swiss cheese

Emmi is building a new cheese production facility right next to the Emmen airport. The new production plant (a total of over 50 truck loads) was delivered over a period of three weeks, unloaded by us, brought into the large production hall and assembled together with the factory technicians.

The 15m long and 15t heavy main components were unloaded with two cranes, pulled into the building by using special undercarriages, moved to the assembly site hanging on two Montylifts and then placed in the assembly racks. During the “hot phase”, which lasted a little more than two weeks, an average of three trucks were unloaded daily, the material was brought in and assembled.

In future, when you eat the creamy cheese from Lucerne and hear gentle flute sounds – you may now also think of us from time to time.
