Our orders vary widely in complexity and scope. While some of our teams move entire productions across Switzerland, others are in the process of safely delivering a single machine tool to the customer. Either way, all our orders are discussed with the customer in advance and the feasibility is planned down to the smallest detail so that there are no negative surprises on site.
While we regularly report on our major assignments, this time we’re taking you on one of our smaller projects – starting in our second heavy goods warehouse in Biel. The new, approximately 300kg ‘light’ ski belt grinding machine was delivered and unpacked there. We then used our Scania 10×4 to transport it to a small sports shop in Visperterminen in Valais.
To install the machine on site through the rear entrance, we first had to move the existing machines and install a temporary moving track. Our lorry-mounted crane was used to unload the freight, including accessories, and lift it into the very narrow space between the houses. Finally, we brought the grinding machine into the sports shop’s workshop via the temporary ramp and placed it in its final location according to the customer’s layout.
Equipment:
- Lorry-mounted crane
- 3 tonne lift truck
- Manual shifting equipment
- Auxiliary material for the shifting ramp
