Where millimeter precision meets digital mega infrastructure

Leading Swiss data centre provider Green is building three state-of-the-art data centres in Dielsdorf. To ensure an uninterruptible power supply, we were entrusted with the installation of several emergency power units, each 17 meters long and nearly 6 meters high.

Delivered on a 9-axle module trailer and unloaded with a 650-tonne pneumatic crane, we moved the 75-tonne container modules into the data centre on a project-specific steel plate skidway. The tight space conditions in the building made it impossible to use a forklift truck. Instead, we pulled the units carefully and in a controlled manner to their final destination on special heavy-duty trolleys using electric cable hoists attached to previously installed anchor plates.

Thanks to perfectly coordinated teams and many years of collaboration with our project partners, we were also able to successfully master this challenging heavy-duty logistics task. A big thank you to everyone involved for this spectacular team effort!
