Light in the darkness!

At RIDI Leuchten GmbH in Jungingen (Germany), sustainability is a top priority. Consequently, a team from BAUBERGER was recently on site to add an additional steam turbine to the existing chip heating system.

In an outbuilding, the 32- tonne preparatory concrete foundation was first hoisted with lifting columns and a 100 tonne truck crane, the shuttering removed, loaded and transported to the new location, where it was deposited on four prepared columns and bolted. The 12-tonne steam turbine was then moved onto the prepared concrete foundation by the crane and installed. Thanks to this turbine, the chip heating will in the future be able to produce electricity when no heating is required.
