Equipped with a 14.2-ton 5-axis milling machine and extensive accessories, our 6×4 Volvo with trailer set off from Biel to the Surselva region. Upon arrival, we unloaded the machine in front of the building using our 140 mt truck-mounted crane. We carefully positioned it on our electric-powered machine skates, which had been placed on a temporary support platform.
As expected, the machine did not fit through the entry opening. As a result, the side panels and the control panel had to be disassembled first, and an existing machine in the building was moved aside. The machine was carefully and precisely moved into the production hall via the temporary support platform, remotely controlled via the electric transport system and moved to its destination.
