Dismantling of a 1500t press

We recently successfully disassembled a 1500t press at Franke Küchentechnik AG. Due to the parallel production and the raw materials stored in the hall, no burning work could be carried out – the dismantling therefore had to be done purely mechanically.

In a total of three stages, the approx. 170-ton press was dismantled step by step – especially the loosening of the M200 clamping nuts on the four tie rods was quite challenging; with an operating time of exactly 50 years, they had to be loosened with our very large tools.

In the end, the individual parts were taken away for scrap.
