BAUBERGER was therefore commissioned in the course of www.luftbruecke.ch to organize the transport of two face mask machines (approx. 60m3) for Autefa AG and material for the production of face masks (another approx. 60m3) for FLAWA Consumer GmbH from China to Switzerland.
For this machine transport – the first as part of www.luftbruecke.ch – an aircraft was chartered from Swiss, which loaded the material in Shanghai and delivered it to Zurich.
The coordination of the on-time delivery of the materials and machines in China, the customs processing and the security check on site in Shanghai were extremely demanding. Since the transport was carried out in a passenger plane, the load had to fit into the narrow cargo bay (a machine part had to be redesigned for this), or be divided into suitable packages so that they could be loaded in the passenger compartment.
After landing in Zurich, the material was loaded onto trucks from BAUBERGER and Welti-Furrer and (with police escort) transported to FLAWA in Flawil. The last two parts of the machine had to be lifted through the facade to the upper floor by crane, since they did not fit in the goods lift in the building.
