Anyone who hears the name Elm thinks of ELMER Citro and Vreni Schneider. Vreni, the most successful Swiss ski racer, retired from her sport in 1995 but ELMER Citro continues to bubble away. Some 11 million bottles of mineral water and soft drinks are filled every year in Elm. The mineral water comes from two springs located above the village of Elm at an elevation of 1200m above sea level.

Smooth operations are assured by 20 employees and numerous sets of beverage equipment. RAMSEIER Suisse AG, the owner of ELMER Citro, has relocated many times with Bauberger AG. “They know us and our machines,” said the competent project manager Fuat Sen. The dismantling and reassembly of the beverage machines requires specific expertise. “Bauberger possesses that expertise and offers good value for the money.”

The glass and PET filling plants underwent thorough refurbishment. That necessitated, first, the removal of the old plants and then the relocation of the remaining equipment within the facility. Lastly, the various haul roads were put in place and machines weighing from 1t to 22t were positioned inside, installed and leveled. The move took just 5 days.

Anyone interested in seeing how ELMER Citro and ELMER Mineral are produced with the new beverage equipment and filled into bottles can do so on site in Elm.
