Wilhelm Schmidlin AG in Oberarth is a very innovative family company, which is the only Swiss manufacturer of glazed titanium steel bathroom products.
In order to optimize the production processes even further, a hydraulic 1400 ton press from Hydraulico was purchased. For the new press, with a dead weight of 165t and a height of over 7m, even a new production hall has been built.
With a weight of 85t, a length of 9m, a width of 4m and a height of 2.5m, the press body is the largest component. Welti-Furrer Pneukran und Spezialtransporte loaded this press body up for us in Denmark. In spite of the corona crisis and the respective challenges the transport with a total weight of over 120 tons went smoothly across Germany.
The detailed sequence of the bringing in, unloading and erection process can be seen in our photos and our film.
The space in the new building was quite challenging. Between the lifting columns and the gallery in the new building there was only about 1 cm of air during the lifting and tilting process – not much with 85 tons!
